the prodigal picture post

alright, here's that picture post i'm sure at least one of you guys have been waiting for. these are pictures from last weekend, when i took a train to places like troon, glascow, and aviemore.

this picture was taken in glascow, for the simple reason that there's a cone on his head.

okay, shame on me for smuggling a camera into the british open, but it's tiger woods, ya'll.

beautiful scenic view from the golf course at troon.

this is ernie els. man, i should be a professional photographer. look at this baller picture. talk about ESPN-worthy.

chillaxin' at the hostel after a long day of walking and walking and more walking.

a mini-morning hike to start the day.

so we reached the cairngorn mountain range, and so we start hiking our way up..

long story short, me and my friend mark lost the rest of the group, but we still made it to the top. (this isn't the top yet, though)

on our way up, we reached this sort of plateau thing. in a matter of seconds, we were entirely surrounded by fog and mist. it was pretty tight, but we had to sit and wait for a bit so we could see where we were going.

we made it to the top! this is the weather center thing at the peak. and i mean, you gotta take a thug picture. you just owned a mountain, for pete's sake.

another thug picture never hurt nobody.
the next day, on our 7-mile hike from our hostel, in boat of garten, back to town, aviemore. b-e-a-utiful scenic walk.

had a picnic in aviemore on a nice green meadowy area.

after about an hour of walking, we come across this lake. i think this was my favorite spot of the day. SO pretty!

and of course, a weekend trip just ain't a weekend trip without a few fob pics.

after another 30 minutes or so, we finally reached our destination: loch an aileen. another nice picture spot. this lake has a ruined castle on a small island in the middle of the lake. it's in the upper right-hand side of the picture. cool stuff.

group picture! chris, alan, terry, stacie, katie, richard, and me.

i don't know what to say about this picture. except i really like it. and i really should be a professional photographer. this is national geographic material right here.

after walking and hiking all day, i tried to hitchhike my way back to the train station. it didn't work =(

in between "studying" on the train ride back, i got to take a few pictures. this one was my favorite.

so there you have it. my weekend in a compact 20-picture nutshell =P i'll try to post another picture update of this past weekend to ireland if i get the chance. payce outz.
