"He whose footsteps you follow in,
His destination you will reach. "

"Thereby your totally ridiculous statement you shall become Jesus Christ one day? Actually, of course you will not--no Christian is actually required to follow Christ's teachings--mere love for Him is enough."

"T," that quote is not supposed to be interpreted like that. no one is claiming that they will someday "become Jesus Christ." He is perfect, and obviously, no one can reach that status. and its true, faith is all thats technically "required." faith that Jesus Christ is in fact the Son of God. but as for those Christians who have truly experienced His love and have had just a taste of His awesome power and sweet forgiveness, they strive to "follow Christ's teachings." we long to read His word and truly live our lives for God. as for the quote that was posted by "V," it is simply saying that if we follow in Christ's "footsteps," not only will we enter the kingdom of God, but we will also be able to experience the true joy that comes from putting God first in life.
