You were made by God and for God -- and until you understand that, life will never make sense.
- Rick Warren

for centuries, philosophers have wondered at the "meaning of life." it's too bad none of them ever considered the above statement. i mean, with all of the different things that make up this chaotic sequence of events known as life, it's no wonder that even history's biggest thinkers couldn't figure out what their purpose on earth was. at this point in my life, when i hear murmurs of job opportunities and career options everywhere i turn, this is the opportune time for me to really search for God's will in my life. what does he want me to do? what should i pursue?

yesterday, i started to read the purpose driven life, by rick warren (thanks phil). it feels kinda weird reading it right now; im sure many of you already know how much i enjoy reading =P but i guess this marks the first time since i can remember that im actually reading a book for "fun," or not out of obligation. who knows, by the end of the year, maybe i'll become an avid reader. hehe but, yeah, im also planning on reading a couple of other books that are lying around here in my dorm room, like wild at heart by john eldredge and fresh wind, fresh fire by jim cymbala and jesus freaks: volume II by dc talk. man, talk about a transformation; i want to...read?! NOW i've seen it all.. ;)
