you know that song, "the 12 days of christmas"? does anyone actually understand it? i've loved that song all my life, but for the heart of me i can't understand why there would be 12 days of christmas. but, for tonight, i'll leave it up to my own interpretation. december 25th being the 1st day of christmas, january 5th would be the 12th day of christmas. hooray! here's my version of the song to try to encompass everything that happened today:

11 hundred yards of total offense,

all in all, i can't believe that this game not only lived up to all the hype, but that it was also a more exciting game than last year's rose bowl. my voice is gone, i've yelled "oh baby" many more times than necessary, and i stepped in some gum over at the town center, but i don't think ANYTHING could ruin today.
