Let Me Borrow
- Bobbie Ingram

Let me borrow the
radiant smile
on your face
To give those in need a warm and safe place

Let me borrow the
calmness
of a cool sparkling brook
That I may comfort those in pain everywhere I look

Let me borrow Your
strength
to climb my mountains high
And to know that through you, victory is nigh

Let me borrow Your
boundless love
to share
With those in such deep, dark despair

Let me borrow the
comfort
of your sweet embrace
Until man's sorrows on earth, there is not left a trace

Let me borrow Your
forgiveness
and I shall hold it so dear
God, You are so awesome,
You dry every tear

Let me borrow your
kind gentle touch
To feel your nearness I need so very much

Let me borrow the
nail scars
from Your hands and feet
So I'll know my redemption is in you complete

Then when you call me home,
and face to face we meet
I'll return these borrowed things
and lay them at your feet.
