the weekend

1 egg mcmuffin meal with orange juice: $3.68
1 full tank of gas: $35.38
1 ticket, section 108 row 37 seat 11: $45.00
(but $0 for me thanks to weili, simeon, and lawrence)
cheering my heart out for 6 hours as the astros beat the braves in 18 innings: priceless

there are some things that money can't buy -- unforgettable memories.

i took this picture as game 4 was starting:

notice the clock reads 12:05.

i took this picture after game 4 ended:

it's a bit blurry, but the clock reads 6:01.

i have never seen or heard minute maid park as alive as it was today. the atmosphere was amazing. when the astros were down 4-0, i thought we could still come back, but later when it was 6-1, i thought it was pretty much over. ah, leave it up to the astros to renew my faith in them yet again. a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th to make it 6-5 and then a brad ausmus home run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to tie it all up. and finally, nearly 3 hours later, after 9 hours of scoreless baseball, chris burke comes up with the walk-off home run. the place went nuts. my voice is pretty much all gone, and my hands still hurt from clapping and dishing out high-fives, but i would do it all over again at the drop of a hat.

this has truly been a crazy awesome weekend. thanks to everyone for the cake in the face, the free rounds, the "water," the birthday messages, the tmac poster, the OU loss, the ride back home, the pictures, the astros game 3 win, the astros game 4 ticket, the astros game 4 win, the ride back to austin, the clothes, the book, the swedish fish, the spiderman toilet seat, and the relient k concert ticket. yay for friends =)
