i needa picture of CRUZ!!

well..im leaving again tomorrow morning to go to camp good news to be a junior counselor..
sucks..i gotta be 18 before i get paid for it..
but, yea..anyways..ill be back sometime saturday..and i think the church bball game is the very next day..not sure though..
agh this summer is too packed w/ stuff..
im gonna miss my hunnie..AGAIN..bleh..

o btw..if you went to mexico and have something you want to share about your experience in matamoros, just put it in my dreambook..

but anyways..an interesting conversation that took place on the car ride back home --

we were passing by some sort of little park for kids where there are all these animal statues that are about 7 feet tall..
wendy: wow thats a big chicken!
robbie: you know there are chickens that are about 5 feet tall.
wendy: really?
robbie: yea they live in africa. the natives hunt them down and use them to feed the entire family.
wendy: really??

what i will always remember from mexico:

- bible study!!!
- mosquitos
- DONDE?!
- JOYA!!
- cruz and alejandro =)
- darlene and fresia (strawberry)
- RAIN AND MUD
- popeye milk shakes
- my permanent retainer breaking
- WHOO I'M IN A DREAM!!!!
- 5-minute showers w/ poopoo water
- the shower curtain falling down while i was inside the shower
- speaking spanish while going door-to-door
- finding my shattered camera
- playing soccer w/ the kids
- learning spanish phrases from fresia (que onda, a carra la onda, osea, orale, ya esta la calabaza)
- seeing a woman come to christ
- playing on the girls' basketball team and beating the boys 100-98
- singing praise songs and meaning every word
- STUDY STUDY STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!!
- drawing a mexico that looked like a florida
- imitating PJ, doing my victory dance, and losing anyways
- working at site 2 on the scaffold
- FINALLY dunking on the bball goal
- baby powder
- twizzlers
- fly Dr. Tai
back home!! yipee!!

but, on a more serious note..
if you werent at the memorial service this afternoon at 5:15, here is the eulogy for Dr. Tai..

- Dr. Tai -
time of entertainment - 3:10 PM
time of death - 3:47 PM

We met this fly in Goliad
And named him Dr. Tai;
He was such a comical lad
Until we had to say goodbye.

We passed him around van #2 --
Each person had a look-see;
It was like a small, tiny zoo,
Or at least it was to me.

As he inhaled for his last breath of life,
All he got was coffee;
His heart was filled with anger and strife,
But on the outside, he was just a softie.

He came into our lives at exactly 3:10,
And he passed away at 3:47;
He truly was a loving friend --
I can't wait to see him in heaven.
