after 4.5 years of longing and frustration and moral victories, my college intramural sports life has accomplished its crowning achievement -- an IM championship. not to take anything away from the other 23 IM teams that i have been on in the past 4 years (i counted), but there is just something about being the "champion" that really gets me. or maybe it's just the tshirt.

before the game, when we were trying to warm up and just throwing the ball around, i jammed my right thumb. after the game, i now think that it is fractured because it is swollen like crazy. i've actually had the same injury on my left hand back in high school, and i think it feels and looks the same as before. i would take a picture of it in comparison to my other thumb, but i just realized i wouldn't have a hand left over to take the picture with.
ah well, either way, injury or not, the championship is worth it. good thing i stayed another year, eh? not like i really had a choice, but still.
