arg..didnt getta chance to share today during the good friday youth service..
got shafted AGAIN! much like in mexico..total dejavu.
but, anyways, i guess i can just share here =)

in the past 2 weeks, God has been doing alot of stuff in my life.
basically, he has revealed to me the true meaning of life.

i became a Christian when i was really young, but since that time, i was sorta, confused, to say the least, about why i was placed here on earth.

i mean, of course, i understood that Jesus died for my sins, and because of that, if i believe in Him, i will go to heaven.
but then, i would just think to myself, "hey, so what am i supposed to do in the next 70-80 years BEFORE i die?"

heh, no, dont get me wrong. im not one of those people who just sit at home, or lie on my bed, and just think about life all day long.
but, i believe that deep down inside, i was still kinda searching for the answer.
and i know this because i would get BORED so easily. i couldnt truly figure out what the point was of being here.
i mean, forreal, i would jump from thing to thing, just to keep myself busy:
basketball, soccer, baseball, football, counter-strike, fifa 2003, ebay, you name it.

2 weeks ago, i remember singing this song during church service. this one part really showed me the light (heh, sorry, i know ive posted it before):

all of life comes down to just one thing,

i have since made this song verse my life's motto.
God is truly awesome. just give Him a chance to totally change your life.
trust me, its worth it.

got my paycheck today!
hehe i love paydays..everyone is always in a much better mood.

anyhow, work was busier than i anticipated today..
a whole lotta people showed up at around the same time, so it got pretty hectic..

for this table i was waiting on, this kid orders a spaghetti, and he asks me what kind of sauce is available.
i told him either marinara sauce by itself, or with meatballs.

the kid then asks me if theres meat in the marinara sauce.
i tell him no, so he orders the spaghetti with only marinara sauce.

few minutes later, i bring it out to him, and he starts eating.
he then has this look of disgust on his face, and he calls me back to the table.
he then asks me if the restaurant serves any marinara sauce that doesnt have onions.

..now what the crap. i knew the answer was no, but i decided to go back into the kitchen to "check" anyways.
after "checking," i went and told the kid that we only served one type of marinara sauce..
and he started like..iono. whining.

blah..so tempted to just go back into the kitchen, put ketchup in a bowl and spit in it and tell him it was marinara sauce.

anyways, time to get my tux. later..

its quite peculiar..
cuz the first thing you taste is the peanuts, which are salty..
but then, after a second, you taste the caramel, which is sweet..

hehe its weird, but i think im starting to like em ;)

but then again, its the dawn of a 4-day weekend =)

heh today at lunch, ophelia told me that her precal class was arguing about whether or not a "jonathan mok" existed..
i was like "eh..?" but then, when i got to class, mrs. stephenson explained the situation.

couple days ago, she passed around this sheet of paper for people to tell her what days they would be absent in the upcoming week.
since im gonna go up to UT for this orientation thing on thursday and friday, i wrote my name, J-Mo, on the list of people.
and, i guess thats what the precal class saw and started questioning..

heh, and today i got my formula quiz back, and up at the top my name was circled and there was a question mark there.
i had written my name, J-$$, so i dont know what the problem was..

WOW! JPGS AND SAM RULE!!

lol..today we had an awesome game..
even though we only had 3 people show up (alex and simon decided to be gay and put PHYSICS LAB before INTRAMURALS)..
we ended up beating the other team 42-29!

man it was incredible!
we played ball like its MEANT to be played..
ball movement, nice shooting, great finishes, basically just outta control.

the only negative thing about the game was that someone cut my face open.
no need for names, but i went up for a rebound, then someone tried to get it from behind me and scratched my face in the process..
i felt 3 nails go across the right side of my face, so i went to the restroom real quick, and yep..
i was cut open.
only one of the nails penetrated my skin, but that single cut turned out to be pretty big..

*sigh* i guess it all comes with playing this game.
every single game i play, i get some sort of injury.
broke my nose, fractured my thumb, bruised my back, turned my ankle, rolled my other one, and of course, scratches everywhere.

but hey, what can i say?
i love this game =)

hehe the highlight of going door-to-door yesterday was quite funny..
you see, me and kevin were walking towards the next house, when we passed by the house that raymond kwan and stephanie ng were in front of..
they knocked on the door, and after a while, a lady looked through the window and shook her head, saying she didn't wanna buy anything.
then, alla sudden, raymond screams through the door "WE'RE NOT SELLING ANYTHING!!!"
..haha well, maybe it was one of those "had to be there" things..

anyways, the final event was the supertones concert.
and, for those of you who have never ever heard of the supertones..you're not missing much.
the entire time, i picked up on 4 words that they sung: super fly, jesus, boom

but, it was still fun jumping around with the rest of the guys there..
haha we had no idea what the lead singer was saying, but whenever he started jumping, we would jump.
for the last song, alex, peter, and i managed to crawl our way to the edge of the stage, and it was awesome!
we jumped and screamed and raised our hands and held up UT signs..
i just feel sorry for the guy who was standing in front of me..
when i started jumping with my hands raised, it was so squishy in there that every time i was coming back down to the ground, i would hit him in the head with my elbow.
not on purpose, of course, but its still just as painful..

anyhoo, time to chump. cya!
