AWESOMENESS

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
- Matthew 6:21

how could anyone ever put anything before God? that's the way i always thought, but then now i understand that it's really not as "crazy" as it sounds. in many ways, i am guilty of doing just that: occasionally placing friendships, school, and other "stuff" before God on my priority list. while all these things are important, God should always have the best of my time.

yesterday at cbs, we had a concert of prayer. it was definitely amazing to be able to praise and worship God as one body in Christ. everything just reminded me of summer and camp challenge. i know it shouldn't have anything to do with it, but lately ive been searching and longing for some sort of spark in my spiritual life. i've been in a sort of slump lately, and even while praying more and asking people to pray for me, it seems like there was still this hole in my heart that could only be filled by a feeling of God's presence in my life. the monotony seemed to last months, separated only by an occasional sign of life.

then we sang this song.

Enough
- Chris Tomlin

All of You is more than enough for
All of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough

You are my supply
My breath of life
And still more awesome than I know
You are my reward
Worth living for
And still more awesome than I know

You’re my sacrifice
Of greatest price
And still more awesome than I know
You’re the coming King
You are everything
And still more awesome than I know
More than all I want
More than all I need
You are more than enough for me
More than all I know
More than all I can see
You are more than enough

my faith is so much more than a few sporadic spiritual highs. when it all comes down to it, God is truly "more than all i want, more than all i need." and the most AWESOME part is just realizing that even after 11 or so years of being a Christian and learning more and more and growing closer and closer to God, He is STILL MORE AWESOME THAN I KNOW. isn't that just mind-boggling?!

He is more than enough.

audioBLOGGER?

so i found out about this thing now available to bloggers everywhere called an "audio post." apparently, for those people who are going to be without computer access for a while, or are just bored out of their minds, they can voice record a post and publish it on their blog.

pretty NIFTY, eh?! yeah, i thought so too. and even MORE nifty is that they allow each blog user ONE FREE AUDIO POST! too cool!! hahaha so i signed up for it, and now all i have to do is call the number and start recording my post.

too bad i don't really have anything to say. and that would be pretty awkward just listening to me ramble for 4 minutes, huh?

anyways, i have a midterm tomorrow, so no audio post today, sorry.

Who am I?

I am...

...strong

                       ...accepted

...forgiven

...treasured

                       ...able

...loved

...unique

                       ...victorious

...cleansed

...HIS

everyone know where this is from, right? :) well, at least you should..

anyhow, i was wearing my camp challenge shirt today, and it was just a great reminder to me of how my identity is truly in Christ.

"Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it."
- 1 Corinthians 12:27

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

so, now i ask, who are YOU?

it's crunch time!

so even after more than 1/2 a year without taking a math class, i have still managed to retain some math skills.

for instance, i calculated what i need to make on the final exams in each of my classes to get an A in the class:

CH304K - 73
SOC302 - 75
MIS310 - 86
PHL301 - 86
ECO304K - 90

how exciting!

*sigh the thought of finals sure is scary..

..but hey, in less than 2 weeks, i'll be back home again..

..isn't that worth living for? isn't that worth dying for?

..ok sorry for the random matrix allusion. ack i still needa watch revolutions!
the end of one super awesome week..

..and the beginning of another?

*crosses fingers

back to school!

tears of joy

johnny & emily got married today..

..and i still can't believe it.

it was definitely awesome being present at the wedding ceremony and reception today. just seeing the perpetual smile on johnny and emily's faces would have been enough to make this day memorable, but of course, witnessing the entire event with the JPGs makes for unforgettable memories too.

aside from the horrid image of seeing alex kiss johnny, having our table raise our glasses to the newlywed couple was definitely awesome. haha and then, of course, there was a loud clashing noise made by beating our glasses with our spoons, which prompted johnny and emily to kiss for the 9284928493209th time.

hahaha and then to top it off, when they left to go to the next table, i hear a "oh crap" coming from david, with a broken cup on the table in front of him. hahhaha he hit his glass so hard that it shattered. lol definitely brought tears to my eyes and pain to my stomach from all the laughter.

so with all this wedding business, i couldnt help myself but wonder when im gonna get married. and with that, what my marriage ceremony is gonna be like. hahhaa let's see..so far, i've narrowed the choices down to either having a wedding INSIDE or OUTSIDE. dang, im good =P

congratulations again to johnny and emily. i would wish you luck, but then again, luck's got nothin' to do with it =)
