busy week..

on thursday:
i was driving along austin parkway, kinda daydreaming, and it was almost 6 and i wanted to go to clements to eat dinner w/ my ex-orchestra people. i look up, and i see a cop parked on the right side of the road about 50 feet ahead of me!! i was like, OH CRAP!! i looked down at my speedometer and it was at about 50, so i hurriedly pressed on the brake pedal until i was cruising along at a snail's pace of 30 mph. to my HORROR, the cop car pulled behind me. after the next stop sign, the siren went on, and the lights started going berserk..it was so scary!! i pulled over, and he walked up to my window and asked for my license and insurance. i was like..oh crap..and then he asked me where i was going. i looked down, and the sight of my communist-red hospital volunteer shirt gave me a little shimmer of hope. i told him that i had just got off from the hospital (which was TRUE) and i hadda hurry to get home before 6 (not so true, but i hadda give it a try). i made sure to emphasize the fact that i was a HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER, but unfortunately, he took both my license and insurance and muttered "i'll be right back." after a few minutes, with my heart pounding at a thousand beats a minute, he came back, and he said "i clocked you going 51 in a 35 mph speed zone. i'll give you a verbal warning this time, but don't do it again." oh man!! i was so happy!! i must have said "thank you" about 20 times and then "i'm sorry" every other second. then he said "have a nice day" and went back to his car.

woohoo!! i love cops!!

rishi: it's ok..i didnt hear it from you.
andy: hear what??
mrs. spradley: nothing..
andy: rishi, what'd she say?
rishi: i didn't hear anything..
me: she said "just don't go to the pep rally"
mrs. spradley: you know, i liked you better when you were sleeping.

*shaking head once again*
hm..alan and i were curious enough to check out the site..
and we were quite amused to read this question and answer passage:

QUESTION:
Recently my daughter and her friend (also a six-year-old girl) have been caught "playing sex." I have tried to talk to them about sex and explain that it's something adults do when they fall in love.
I just walked in on them again and found my daughter's friend on top of my daughter. When I asked what they were doing, they said "playing sex." What do I do or say to them?

ANSWER:
Curiosity about sex between same-age children is not unusual or necessarily perverse. No need to panic, but it's best to take some steps to see that the play doesn't dominate the girls' relationship. It's also important to inform the other child's parents of the sex play between the two. Agree that when these girls are together they won't be allowed to go off by themselves for long periods of time, especially behind closed doors.

You're most likely not going to talk these girls out of this behavior because it's wrong or inappropriate. Rather, see their actions as a signal telling you they're curious about sex and want to know more about it.

hm..quite..interesting..
Disney Online..

hm..im in psychology right now..
looking up stuff about the incredible, magnificent, and totally interesting sense of hearing.

hm..this is actually quite interesting.
i searched yahoo for websites concerned with hearing, and i found this site:
FamilyFun: Exploring the Senses: Your Sense of Hearing

it's part of Disney Online, yet at the bottom of the page, after all the info on hearing, there is a list of sites that are ALSO FEATURED.
one of these sites is Sex Play: An Innocent Message

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU WHO MISSED THE TALENT SHOW!!

*ahem* JOCELYN, ERIC, SAYAKA, ETC *ahem*
kk here it is. my hole in the kitchen wall. awesome!

oh, and here is a pic of the hole getting patched up. notice my smile?
reason: that lady to the left is doing the job for free. she's so great! just saved me about $300!!

so many people are disillusioned with what love really means nowadays.
you hear the phrase "i love you" used so much now that i think it may have lost some of its magic.
but if you really wanna know the true meaning of love, heres a definition you won't find in any oxford or webster's dictionary.

Love is when..
1. you contract leukemia at a very young age and never get bitter at God for it
2. during blood transfusions, you contract hepatitis c and never complain about your unluckiness
3. you get into a car accident, the car flips over, you get a helicopter ride over to the ER in the nearest hospital, and even though you're in a great deal of pain with head and neck injuries, you tell the doctors to go operate on the other patients first

now THAT, my friends, is true love.
please pray for geoffrey chum's quick and full recovery. he went into surgery this morning. pray for his family, that they will not feel guilty in any way over the accident.
if somehow, some way, this is geoffrey reading this, i just wanna tell you that all our prayers are with you!!
hey i havent had a post in my dreambook in a while..
sooo..for everyone who went to the talent show last night, would you please just take a few seconds to give some input on w/e..
eh..lets see..
1) this year's show vs last year's
2) favorite act
3) worth the money?
4) any suggestions on next year's show

but, yeah..props to FAT SIMON for agreeing to look like an idiot walking across the stage.
wait..we made him do it..ah well, good job nonetheless, simon.
oh man..talent show was AWESOME.
hehe we actually got our entire act down!!
woohoo!! i just wanna give a big shout-out to everyone who came to see it this year..
and for all of you who didnt show up, you guys missed out..
*sigh* but, oh well, the place was PACKED. the talent show raised over $3500 for the building fund..
can't wait til next year!!
