summer 2005

another summer come and gone. well, almost anyway. this summer has been simply amazing. many might look at my mere two online classes and declare it a "waste of a summer," but i beg to differ. these past few months have taught me a lot about prayer, family, friendship, reconciliation, and pretty much life in general.

i've learned that our God really is a God of second chance. i have an entirely new perspective on forgiveness and redemption. i've gone through more inner turmoil and struggles in my faith in the past few months than i have in previous summers, but i must admit that it's been worth it. i really believe that sometimes we get lulled to sleep by the routines of our own lives that we need that occasional wakeup call from the man upstairs to remind us of what we're truly living for.

this summer has been a much-needed time of rest for my body and an incredible restoration of passion for my soul. although i don't feel ready to trek my way back to UT, there aren't enough words to convey my thankfulness for such a reviving summer.

..I'm getting into you
Because you got to me, in a way words can't describe
I'm getting into you
Because I've got to be
You're essential to survive
I'm going to love you with my life..
