GB house party

short post for the sake of time. went to GB house party last night with sarah, christine, and yvonne. the 3 of them desperately wanted me to go, so they all chipped in for my entrance fee of $3. ok j/k, i didn't have any money. AND they wanted to pay me for being their friend.

i hadn't gone to a house party this year, so i just wanted to check it out. the party was pretty much what i expected -- drinking, dancing, chilling. it was crazy hot inside the house, though.

it's kinda interesting just observing the goings-on at a house party. it's 389204802 times easier to pick up a girl there, if that's what you're interested in. i was utterly shocked -- even the biggest, ugliest losers could pick up girls. that's america for ya.

anyhow, we only stayed at the party for about 40 minutes before heading back to sarah's apartment. once again, i saw some advantages in living off-campus. it just feels more like home, ya know?

and then i fell asleep when i got back to my dorm, even though i was freakin' hungry and planned on going to denny's. my bad sarah.
Only You
- David Crowder Band

Take my heart, I Lay it down
At the feet of you whose crowned
Take my life, I’m letting go
I lift it upto You who’s throned

And I will worship You, Lord
Only You, Lord
And I will bow down before You
Only You Lord

Take my fret, take my fear
All I have, I’m leaving here
Be all my hopes, be all my dreams
Be all my delights, be my everything

And It’s just you and me here now
Only you and me here now

You should see the view
When it’s only You

hanging by a moment

so i attended my last "class" today. TD301..i think i got an A on that test, but i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed..

after the test, i headed over to lawrence lau's apartment with him and gina. for the first time, i saw the advantage of living in a dorm. it just felt so..homey in there. ya know?

anyhow, the lau siblings cooked a delicious lunch, and then it made me want to take cooking class. i'll put that as number one on my priority list. i gotta learn to cook asap.

following lunch, lawrence shared the miracle of today's technology: being able to record live TV. since i missed the FRIENDS finale, we decided to watch it.

hold up. pause for a second. CAN YOU BELIEVE FRIENDS IS ENDING?? jeez that's crazy. has it really been 10 years already? it feels so weird hearing that the show's actually coming to an end.

='( all good things must come to an end. don't you just hate that quote?

well for those of you who watched the finale, im sure you know what im about to talk about. but for those of you who didn't, im sure you're gonna read the rest of this post anyways and then punch me later for ruining it for you.

so i was watching the finale, and it got to the end where ross is yelling at the answering machine "DID SHE GET OFF THE PLANE?! DID SHE GET OFF THE PLANE?!?" and then rachel (as expected) shows up at his door and says "she get off the plane." you know, the ideal situation =)

the television image freezes. no need to panic, right? someone just hit the remote by accident.

i wish. nope, the show had run overtime, so the recording didn't catch the last 5-10 minutes of the show. WHAT A CLIFFHANGER.

but, it's okay. this just gives me more reason and motivation to buy the dvd.

i suppose the end of FRIENDS deserves a picture.

i feel so nostalgic.

pet peeve #3

it's 5:00 in the morning. you're in a study lounge, wide awake. you've gone through 3 bottles of bawls and various sources of caffeine to keep you alert and awake. you've got 3 textbooks in front of you, but even with 6 hours left until your first midterm, you're still afraid you don't have enough time.

ok so here's pet peeve #3. *drumroll*

I HATE IT WHEN YOU SPEND ALL NIGHT STUDYING FOR 2 TESTS AND END UP GETTING OWNED BY ONE OF THEM.

i got an A on my government test, but then again, i had no chance for an A. and then chemistry..

..*sigh. chemistry test was freakin' impossible. oh well, time to rely on the final..

anyways, i still got one more exam tomorrow, so i gtg study. i think this is the end of my "pet peeves" posts. these posts are getting too depressing ='(

hey someone remind me to sign up for rec week.

ain't no such thing as luck

2 tests tomorrow. wish me luck.
woe is me

man, craziness. i think i pulled an abdominal muscle the other day. not sure how it happened, but now my abs hurt like no other. this stinks. i can't laugh, i can't sneeze, i can barely even ball.

ugh, i also have a bit of a cough right now. except i can't really muscle out a nice man-sized cough because of my abdominal pains. now it's more like a whimper. *sigh

3 tests this week =(
you can find me at the pcl.

pet peeve #2

so i believe it is past time for the publication of my second pet peeve. im sure many of you also share this same origin of frustration: class registration.

I HATE IT WHEN YOU SPEND HOURS FIGURING OUT YOUR SCHEDULE, ONLY TO HAVE YOUR CLASSES TAKEN BEFORE YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO REGISTER!

this is a serious case of discrimination. my last name is getting owned by this "randomized" system every single time. what's up with that?

so here is my suggestion: why not just have a giant free-for-all? we'll make it a national holiday (or at least a university holiday), and starting at midnight everyone is open for registration. let the fastest fingers win.

anyways, on a side note, i've been studying strenuously for my government test on thursday, and i found out who william p. clements is! it turns out my high school was named after a republican mayor! wow!! my life is complete!!
